I've always loved cars, and got the idea for this series when I visited the owner of the two Buicks. His house/barn was filled with cars in many incarnations, and his passion for all parts of the restoration and rebuilding process was an inspiration. I also was fascinated with the story of the two Buicks and knew that the stories of "lost and found" cars would be at least as interesting as the paintings.

"Lost & Found" premiered in October of 2006, and I have continued to paint car portraits since that time. My recent visit to Havana, and the new series "Havana-59" series, was inspired by this series and reflections of my first car, a '52 Plymouth, and all those other old American cars I never got a chance to own.
